Agreement to these terms

By using HeyBagel, you agree to these Terms.

What HeyBagel is (and isn’t)

HeyBagel provides journaling tools and AI-generated reflections on your writing.

Not medical or professional advice: HeyBagel is not a medical, psychological, therapy, legal, or financial service. AI output can be wrong or incomplete. You are responsible for your decisions and how you use the app.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use HeyBagel.

Your account

You’re responsible for your account and any activity under it.
Don’t share access to your account in a way that compromises security.
We may suspend accounts for suspected abuse or unauthorized use.

Your content

You own the journal content you submit.
You give HeyBagel a limited license to host, process, and display your content only to operate the service (including generating AI analyses you request).
You are responsible for what you write and upload.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Break the law, infringe rights, or violate privacy
Attempt to hack, disrupt, or overload the service
Reverse engineer or scrape the service in a way that harms HeyBagel or other users
Use HeyBagel to generate or distribute content that is illegal or that meaningfully harms others

We can remove content or restrict access if needed to enforce these rules.

Subscriptions, billing, and renewals

HeyBagel offers paid subscriptions processed by Stripe.
Auto-renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled before the renewal date.
Cancellation: You can cancel anytime through the billing portal or your account subscription settings. If you cancel, you keep access until the end of the current billing period.
Price changes: If we change pricing, we’ll apply changes to future billing periods and provide notice where required.
Taxes: Taxes may apply depending on your location.
Refunds: Unless required by law, payments are generally non-refundable. If something went wrong, contact support and we’ll try to help.

Free trials (if offered)

If you start a free trial, you may be asked for a payment method. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your subscription may convert to a paid subscription and renew automatically.

Service availability

We try to keep HeyBagel available, but we don’t guarantee uninterrupted access, specific uptime, or that the service will always be error-free.

“As-is” disclaimer

HeyBagel is provided “as is” and “as available.” We make no warranties of any kind, including implied warranties like merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law:

HeyBagel and its operators won’t be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
Our total liability for any claim related to the service will not exceed the amount you paid to HeyBagel in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim (or $100 if you haven’t paid).

Termination

You can stop using HeyBagel at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if we need to protect the service or other users. Where reasonable, we’ll try to provide notice.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms. If changes are material, we’ll provide notice by updating the “Last updated” date and/or via the app.
